About this collection

Churchill, Manitoba, Canada is home to the largest gathering of Polar Bears in the world during late fall where the south western beginning of the Hudson Bay freezes the earliest. This is the access point for the bears to reach the Arctic ice to hunt seals and end their 4-5 month, 8 months for pregnant females ("walking hibernation") fast.

I was fortunate to visit this magnificent place in mid November 2010.
